The Cleaning Guy

I engaged The Cleaning Guy in Springfield IL for a move-out cleaning on a Saturday morning. The cleaning ladies arrived 1 hour and 20 minutes late, and when I called to ask Amanda, the person who had scheduled the cleaning, why they hadn't arrived, her reply was, "Well, it IS a Saturday morning."

My landlord arrived at his scheduled time to do the inspection (it was scheduled for when the cleaning was supposed to be done) and the cleaning ladies did not even show up until he was already there. When I called later to ask that I be compensated for all the wasted time, Amanda said she would talk to her boss and get back to me. A week later, no call. I called to talk to her boss directly and was told I would receive a call back. That was three days ago, still no call.

I give two stars because the cleaning was decent, and the cleaning ladies were...

My first experience with the Cleaning Guy was not pleasant. I was furious and disappointed on how an employee treated me and my wife during an appointment to have my carpet cleaned. I contacted the company and spoke with a General Manager about my experience. Robert was very kind and generous enough to listen to my story and did his absolute best to make things right with me and my wife. I want to give a true review on how things were for me. I am giving a 5 star rating on the performance of the company on the 2nd attempt and not the 1st only because I believe in second chances and the staff was very impressive and diligent in the work they did. I will most likely use this company again in the future. They do have competitive prices and for the most part their crew was very nice.

My family used The Cleaning Guy in our home for over two years. They were always professional, on time and did a great job of cleaning. Regardless of how large or small our request was, they were always very accommodating. I highly recommend them.

The Cleaning Guy showed up on time and cleaned my house completely following our moving out of the house. They cleaned the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen, all the floors and baseboards. This really helped my wife and I move out of our house. We were so tired after moving the belongings, that it was a no-brainer to hire The Cleaning Guy.

Flexible with our schedule and responsive to recommendations/feedback. Nice to know the cleaning will be done and not have to think about it.
