I have mixed feelings about Generac and Premier Generator
The good : Installers did a great job. They successfully installed a natural gas whole house generator over 3 days with two crews. My cost was $12,450, I had two bids, and Premier was slightly cheaper.

The bad: The install date was to be August 3rd; however the completion date was September 5th. During the bidding process I was told that I had no responsibilities, and that it was possibly a $200 charge for an upgrade on my gas meter. On July 26th I was asked to contact the electrical and gas company to cut off the electric service and check on upgrading the gas meter. I was told that a new meter would be a $2300 to $4000 upgrade charge. Since this is a 20 to 35% increase on the bid I called the install coordinator and asked what was going on. Brandon and his team did a fantastic job installing a new 38KW whole-house generator. This required a fair amount of work, including running a new gas line, digging a trench for the cabling, and temporarily removing paving and a fence to get the generator in place. The team did a super neat and tidy job, leaving the grounds in a better shape than when they started. The Premier Generator crew are very professional, friendly, and responsive. I'm not surprised that they have a solid record of 5-star reviews, every member of the team works hard and does exceptional work.

I purchased a new standby generator from Premier around 6 months ago. During my research I concluded that this company seemed to have a strong post sales service culture (which was missing from my previous company). Today I received a text message from Premier that they were coming to my home to check out a problem signal sent by my generator through their internet monitoring program. I was quite concerned when the service tech found that the machine had become disabled by the failure of a critical component and it could possibly be a week or more to get the necessary part. Needless to say I was quite concerned since Hurricane Lee is due in two days. Kevin, the initial service tech, indicated that he would talk to management to see how this could somehow be solved. I highly recommend Paul and his crew for mini split installation. They are professional and knowledgeable. I have a big projects including 9 heads and 3 condensers.
