Prairie Learning Center

If I could do an even number of stars, I would. But since I cannot, I am giving two stars. My disclaimer, my children did not or has not attended this daycare. But that is not to say that I have not had an experience here.

I moved to the area from North Spokane where my children were attending daycare. When we found our new home, close to Rathdrum, we decided to contact daycare centers in the area before closing. Prairie Learning Center was our first choice! It is close, reasonably priced, and during my tour, there were some cons, but mostly pluses. The lady that ran the place though stated that they are currently full, but will have spaces available once school starts in September if I wanted to be placed on the waitlist. These wonderful ladies are so good with the kids, and help give them a great learning base in prep for kindergarten. Highly recommended!

My son has attended PLC full time for almost 2 years now. I can say without a doubt he is safe and happy. The teachers are amazing and the director Ms.Shatawn is is incredible. She is very understanding and compassionate. I’ve always found resolution easily with her on any grievances I may have had and never felt uncomfortable going to her with questions or concerns. My son has had trouble with language, we use (ASL) sign to help with communication. Our transition to Strasburg was pretty rocky in the beginning trying to figure out what works especially for a 2yr old who was already set in a routine, however the staff at PLC helped my son transition into a new one gracefully. Implementing different techniques and learning tools to help him feel comfortable and at ease with all the new going on’s. Prairie Learning Center is the best thing that has happened for my son! The staff is amazing and I can not thank them enough for everything they teach my son everyday. His development has skyrocketed once he started PLC. I love that's it not a typical daycare and they have lesson plans every week to have the kids prepared for when they enter school. Everything about them is fantastic!

Love everyone at Prairie! We have trusted them with our kiddos for the last 4 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else! There is nothing like peace of mind when it comes to who is taking care of your children. 10 out of 10 would recommend

My son is very happy at Prairie Learning. He looks forward to attending everyday. Teachers are sweet and patient.
