Paper Planes Early Learning Center

Maria and her Staff at Paper Planes have exceeded any expectations I had about Daycare! Being a First time Mom, I was scared to leave my son and they made me feel as if he would be with extended Family. In fact that’s how I look at them now! They are simply amazing and I can’t express enough how much they made this transition for me so much easier!! 5 Stars isn’t enough!!! They Deserve way way more!!

My son has been in daycare since 4 months old, he’s now 2 1/2. The daycares we’ve went to have been sub par compared to Paper Planes. He is finally happy and willing to go with Maria or Christine to his classroom with out throwing a fit and getting upset. When we pick him up he’s also in a much better mood (smiling, outgoing, and even a better child when we get home). His teacher Ms Sheri is also amazing, she came out to talk to us about his day many times, along with Maria and Christine. Their playground is beyond amazing, having put in a rubber ground, not mulch or rubber mulch. What I really love most about this place is the app that lets you know what they’ve eaten, drank, played with for the day, along with amazing pictures to show what your child is doing. Paper planes is an amazing facility with amazing people. I was very impressed with the professionalism, friendly, and caring personalities of everyone associated with this center. Maria and her staff are truly amazing at what they do. I highly recommend!!!!

The owner of this daycare was the director at my boys’ daycare after we had been through many others. She came in like a breath of fresh air, connecting with parents, kids, and staff alike. She brings a combination of love, care, smarts and understanding to her leadership style, and is a parent herself, so really “gets” it. Her passion has always been to open a daycare center, and left our center with much love and support from all to found her own place. We met Maria Ahrens when she became the Director at Our Children’s Academy (Edgewater, NJ) in Jan 2018. It was our last year and half after being there since our son was 3 months old. We could not be more grateful for the structure and focus that she brought to education and child development. She made an effort to get to know each student and their families. Not only do we feel that our son benefited from Maria’s leadership but we benefited from workshops and material Maria shared to help parents navigate raising pre-school children.
Maria brings years of experience and education to her role so I asked if she could present at my Firm a workshop she did for the OCA parents. It was extremely well received by my Co-Workers with children of Day Care / Pre-School ages. The goal of Paper Planes is to raise the bar. Parents deserve to drop their babies off at a place they absolutely love. They deserve to get pictures, videos, and updates throughout the day! It’s hard enough that when your child turns 5, you suddenly have to drop them off at Kindergarten with little to no contact throughout the day. Imagine, dropping your 3 month old or 3 year old off and having to wonder how they are doing. We don’t want that for you.
