Osaki Japanese Sushi & Steakhouse

Food overall from what i ordered was rather diasppointing. Not much flavor at all. The fried calamari was cold and bland. The fried shumai was more bread than anything. The crab rangoon tasted only of the oil it was fried in, couldnt even taste crab past the brittle shell. The BBQ calamari was good as far as taste but had a bunch of hard sharp little bits in it (from the calamari i hope). The dumpling soup was the only thing that i got that was good from my order. I had high hopes but left feeling unsatisfied.

Was nice but hibachi on West 12th is better

The portions were huge, food tasted great, chef was funny. Highly recommend.

I went with my family and was very excited but I left very disappointed. The waitress was nice enough but when we paid our check (in cash) she brought it back "just incase we wanted to add anymore to her tip". The "chef" was nice but he didn't really seem to be enjoying himself. I had chicken and shrimp. The shrimp was ok but the chicken was rubbery. My friend had the salmon and said it was very good. All and all I don't think I'll be going back.

The hibachi was excellent.

Ordered the hibachi and it was just ok. The chicken was not tender and the steak lacked taste. The rolls were good.

The problem was when they charged me the bill and, apparently, someone else's.

The charge was pending and I thought it was a mistake and it would come off. I just realized it went through without my signature and this is scary. Beware. Check your credit card a day or two after you go to this place.
