The appraisal came in multipe days past the deadline. The appraiser took almost 2 weeks from going out to the property to delivering the appraisal. This caused enormous stress to the Buyer and Seller. What appeared to be a straight forward appraisal (value wise) turned out to be this quest to find a resale comp vs a builder comp. Personally, I spent roughly 3+ hours trying to find one. This company was called in a week before closing to do 2nd evaluation on a property. Emotions were high with both parties already as we had issues with lending as it was.
