He is a contractor for AHS warranty and was supposed to repair a water heater of mine. He did not drive to our home to look at the water heater, instead he had my wife FaceTime him. The. His quote to AHS was nothing like the system I had. I hade a 75 gallon power vented water heater. He wanted to install a 50 gallon standard atmospheric vent system. He was then going to charge me $800.00 for installation. I took the payout from AHS instead and installed a 75 gallon. Would not recommend this company at all. Check his BBB as well. Over 28 complaints. He shouldn’t be in business and AHS shouldn’t contract with such companies. Not impressed at all.

I connected with this company through my home warranty to fix a leak in a pipe in our crawl space . The plumber who worked on our project was knowledgeable and kind it seems to have been done well. However no attempt was made to clean up a very messy project. Also, the company missed two appointments scheduled for the initial inspection of our issue. I had a lot of difficulty reaching the company to reschedule the missed appointments.

Ken came in diagnosed the problem and then committed to having it fixed today. When a 1 hp disposal was not available he made a recommendation for moving forward that was acceptable. Shared a couple of pointers with me in case of future problems. Nice guy too!!!

This "company" was chosen by my home warranty to do replace my water heater, and it was a non stop nightmare.

After assessing and saying it simply needed to be replaced, they told my HW company that a shut off valve needed to be installed (it already had a shut off valve) and that it would cost $800 (I had a valve installed on another line a few weeks prior for $150) and due to that, the HW company was trying to charge me that out of pocket because it "wasn't covered". This was a clear move by Melton Plumbing to gouge for extra money.

On top of that, they literally never answer the phone or respond to email. They are awful, avoid if at all possible.

I never leave reviews, let alone poor reviews. But I wish I had seen these reviews before allowing them to come to my home. If you are unlucky enough to have AHS assign this company to your service claim, demand a change immediately. After having them assigned to my shower repair the company was quick to call and schedule and came out quickly (bonus). However, the service tech upon entering came with no supplies and a tube of caulking after telling the scheduler that we would need the whole drain replaced and what it entailed. He baulked at repairing the shower drain and stated he could not do the repair because we had started the repair. We asked that he call AHS to clear the repair which he did, and while on speaker phone he tried 5 times to get AHS to deny the repair even when they stated to him numerous times it was covered EVEN if we botched the repair. They were chosen by my home warranty company to fix my hot water heater. They took over a month to get back to the warranty company and then my warranty company denied my claim because Melton plumbing wasn't thorough enough in reporting what was wrong. I tried calling several times in that month to check on things and they never picked up the phone and never returned my calls or texts. I thankfully had the claim overturned when they sent another company but will never be dealing with Melton plumbing again.

I had a plumber issue and my home warranty company supplied me with this contractor. I initially did not want this company because I read the reviews, but I gave them three opportunities to keep an appointment. For an entire week, I called the company multiple times because I kept getting the run around with my appointments. It was a lot of fun around and I never was returned. It was such a time consuming and frustrating situation. I also expressed my concerns with the home warranty company.

Do not use. Lied to me, and my warranty company to avoid repair. Shady business.
