AFC Urgent Care Torrance

So glad we stopped in. I was visiting family in LA from the east coast with my mom who is 92 years old. She developed an itchy rash which was getting worse with time. I called AFC to make an appointment on Sunday morning and the receptionist answered the phone without putting me on hold. He answered my questions and invited us to come to the clinic. The wait room was bright, spacious and clean. On-line registration was easy and we waited for 15 minute before being called into the exam room. We waited in the exam room for 10 minutes and met the PA who was friendly and knowledgeable. He examined my mom's rash, explained the cause and the treatment options. Wrote a prescription and told us not to worry. With the medication, my mom is feeling much better. Thank you AFC!

Brought my little girl in to see the doctor. Sore throat, yellow runny nose (Not Clear) obviously signs of an infection and coughing. Refused to give antibiotics. Directed me to give her over the counter cold medicine and fluids. . My little girl coughed all not and trouble breathing. Called her primary doctor m. Will not return to the clinic. Why even go ????

I took a PCR Covid Test there 4 days ago, and still haven't received the result! I didn't like their system at all. I filled all my info online, and when I went there, I had to do it all again for the PCR test. I don't even know if the two systems are connected or not.
I liked the people working there, but if this is someone's mistake, it's unforgivable. These things affect people's lives. Fortunately, it wasn't that important for me since I took a couple of at-home tests that came back negative, but in some cases people really need to know the results!

Went in to be sure I didn’t have pneumonia. Wait felt like forever but I’m sure it was a lot less than it felt because of how sick I was feeling. Once I was called back the doctor saw me almost immediately after vitals were taken and x-rays of my lungs were done before I could count to ten it felt like. They had prescriptions sent out immediately and the discharge process was quick. One of the meds was out of stock at my regular pharmacy so we called AFC back and they called all the pharmacies in the area to find one that had the medication that was needed as there was no substitute. All in all that is dedication to patient care. A Plus from me.

Went to this clinic yesterday, had to wait for 1.5 hours until they figure out my son’s insurance, so I had to step in and say that I’ll pay out of pocket just so they can start to check my son because he’s uncomfortable and vomiting. It feels sad to see that money comes before caring for health especially for little children with immediate needs. My son vomitted on their clinic while waiting but they didn’t care because of that insurance issue. Also, PA already knew my son’s vomiting and having a tummy ache but she only addressed the infection and not the discomfort. After going to this clinic, we had no choice but to bring son to the ER because he’s really uncomfortable and was throwing up everything we’re giving him. How I wish the PA just prescribed Zofran or anything similar or just recommended us to go to the ER if anything is out of her scope. She was also clearly rushing....
