AFC Urgent Care Torrance

Made an 'appointment' online for my teen daughter. Just a note, it's not really an appointment, just puts you in line when you check in. You can complete the forms online to make the process faster, which is a plus. Staff that greeted us was very friendly.
We waited 10 minutes or so until we were brought back to have her vitals taken & given a room. Waited in the room about 20 minutes before seeing Jinah (I believe a physicians assistant). She does have a thick accent, but we were still able to understand her. She took the time to listen & speak to both my daughter & I. She recommended some onsite labs, which we agreed to. Jose came in to take the swab samples. He was so friendly & nice and helped put my daughter at ease. Took about 30 minutes of waiting for Jinah to come back with the results. She sent in 2 prescriptions to our pharmacy directly for us...

Excellent Staff.

Such a nice and clean place BUT not the best doctor. Went here knowing I had strep and looking for the correct medications to be prescribed. Doctor came in for one minute looked at my throat said I didn’t have strep. Sent me antibiotics that didn’t help nor that I needed. Ended up in the hospital the next day with a 103 fever with strep….go figure.

Very good experience for a first time. Would definitely recommend!!!

My family has been regulars since last year. We usually had good experiences.
But this morning we had very horrendous experience due to the female medical provider at the office. We were there to get the school physical done. Since it was my first time to fill out the form, I made a few mistakes answering some of the dubious questions. I told the female physician who came in the room there might be some mistakes.
She read through them and lectured me how to fill the form correctly with smirks in her face. She went over and over again and said it is common sense to do it her way. By the way there was no clear directions on the form. She was so argumentive and confrontational. She even asked if I read/understand English well.
Due to this horrendous experience, I will stop going to this place. I hope AFC considers the medical providers’ manner towards patients. She is...
