AFC Urgent Care Torrance

I went in to this urgent care on Monday, 8/19/24. I can't believe the staff. I work in the health care field and have never seen staff so in organizated and lack of communication between the staff. JUST TERRIBLE I WILL NEVER GO TO THIS URGENT CARE AGAIN.

I had a great experience here at AFC urgent care located in Torrance.I came to get a TB vaccine and I had a great MA named Janella, her service was quick and easy. She made me feel really comfortable and had a really great and outgoing personality! Definitely will be coming back to AFC for any medical needs. Great staff and was quick to be called in. Great place overall !

This is my mom's first time coming to AFC urgent care. Although she had a long wait and a long drive to get there, it was well worth it because they were thorough with every patient's medical history. She was seen by MA Tony and PA Danny. These people deserve a special shoutout. MA Tony had a positive attitude. This made my mom feel like that she was in good hands. The PA Tony was also exceptional. Not only he had a positive attitude towards patients, but he also had kindness, knowledge and empathy. He understood my mom's illness and gave the right medicine. He knew that my mom was going to cough later on, so he gave her cough medicine. That was the best decision ever because without it, her nonstop coughing would affect her sleep. We need more health care providers like PA Danny and MA Tony . Danny is worth it to be an MD because of his knowledge and his kindness. I highly recommend...

I had a great experience from start to finish here. I came in yesterday on Sunday. I scheduled an appointment online for 1:30pm but showed up earlier around 1pm as I was running errands in the area. They were quite busy with only one Physician Assistant on hand, but Nika at the front desk was so sweet and said she could give me a call in an hour or so to come back in as I was around the corner.

About an hour later I got the call, came back in,
and was seen quickly. I was unsure about my “injury” and whether it was Urgent Care worthy but I never felt I wasn’t taken seriously by any of the staff on hand.

The PA, Wariam, whom I’m sure had a busy day, took the time to listen to me and provide a solution for me. I’ve been practicing her recommendation for the past 24 hours and have felt relief for the first time in weeks. (THANK YOU - something simple, but...

I went there in February and they asked me to pay $20 my co payment from my insurance and I paid for it during visit. And the provider who saw me was just checking my heart rate and did some blood test but until I called for lab result they never follow up. In May, I got email from AFC urgent care that I need to pay additional $10 for last February visit due to my insurance coverage. (I do not understand why they ask me to pay $20 during visit and 2-3month later, why they charge me extra??) I paid for it anyway. And now in July, they text me that my medical pay for February visit is due 2/28/24 and they text me the link to pay another round. Wow. I spammed the message

Great quality service all the Doctors and assistants are honest. Had my stitches removed with NO pain at all. I asked if i needed medication they were honest and did not upsell any pharmaceuticals. Dr Wariam was excellent and thorough in explaining my recovery.

Would highly recommend this Urgent Care over most in Torrance.

jackie is so nice and compassionate and you can tell she very much cares for others. she helped me a lot with my suicidal thoughts. she’s the sweetest person. <3

Came here right before closing as I drove to three other Urgent Care providers that said they were open until 8 pm. I was relieved to find them still open when I pulled up at 7:57. Yrs, I know they close at 8:00. I immediately apologized to the receptionist for coming in last minute. She said she would have to check with the provider if they would see me. She came back and said no because it was already 8:00. If you are going to refuse urgent medical care close your doors at 7:45 and clarify the last patient check in is “x” minutes prior to close.
