AFC Urgent Care Torrance

This place is the best! Went today and Louise, Danny and Janella all are amazing and took great care of me.

I've been to this location several times & have brought my daughters as well in the past. Have always received great service/care. Everyone I've encountered have usually been great. Today 9/27/24 I took in my 11 year old daughter for pain in her ankle which she had hurt previously. Everything was going great. The person who took her xray was great, he has helped me at previous appointments & always very helpful & kind. Went back to room to wait for xray result. About 5mins later a woman, Maria Fernandez MLP came in she asked if I had been here before & said yes several times & I told her I hadn't seen her before. She proceeded to ask what had happened and we started to tell her. She then looked at my daughter & I asked if she had medicine for her acne. I was honestly stunned. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at an urgent care. Id give zero stars if I could.
I came in on March 17 for a potential UTI. I told the person who took me back to my room that I was pregnant so that the doctor would know the seriousness of it if it was in fact a UTI. The provider disregarded the notes taken before coming in and then tried to prescribe me a prescription that is unsafe for pregnant women. Thank GOD I knew what it was and that it wasn’t okay. When I told her I was pregnant and I couldn’t take that, she responded “you are? Oh.” She also stormed in so dramatically claiming I had an infection and said it was really really bad.. like I should go straight to the hospital. I literally saw my primary shortly after and they found no trace of an infection. The provider left my room without asking if I had any questions or anything. I found her in the hallway to...

I went I for a drug test and I understood there was going to he a little wait time, but I waited over 45 holding my pee. I didn't have to see a doctor, just pee in a cup. To top it off, they "didn't know" I didn't have to see a doctor. Later on that day I got a UTI! I have never had to wait that long at a free clinic for a urine test. While they could have just had me pee, the nurses were all just chit chatting. Very unprofessional

Don’t be fooled by the great reviews and empty waiting room. Even though I made a 9:10am appointment, and there’s literally NO ONE else in the waiting room nor the entire clinic, it is 9:45am and I am STILL waiting to be seen. I’ll try to update with when I actually am seen….

I usually go to UCLA Torrance and only came here for the convenience and ironic expectation that it will be faster. At least the wait at UCLA is for a reason!!

Front desk person has the attitude equivalent to an eye roll (like… why are you bothering her to have to work), and no one seems to respect your time or the fact that you may have a schedule or hello, that you’re sick and would like to get home!!

This used to be our go to urgent care center bc it is awesome to save your place in line. However, they no longer have an x-ray technician on staff, so if you need an X-ray, call ahead!

I had a really positive experience here when I was looking for a same day appointment for my chest cough.

I needed a same day appointment since my cough was getting worse after a week and my primary care doctor didn’t have availability. I found AFC Urgent Care looking at highly reviewed urgent care centers in my area on Google Maps, since my PPO insurance has many in-network options.

The AFC website showed a 30-minute wait time for walk-ins and times for many same day appointments, so I went ahead and started the sign-up process online. I added photos of my license and insurance card, added my personal info, and had my appointment set online in a few minutes.

Once I got to the Urgent Care, I checked in with the front desk ladies, paid my copay, and filled out a payment form for the charges that I would get during the appointment. I waited about...

Hardly any wait time and jamila made my experience very easy and stress free. Would recommend using this location for any future medical use
