College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving McKinney

Two no shows. Scheduled from 8A-10A, got a call 20 minutes prior to 10A asking to reschedule for same day 12P-2P, waited no call and no show. Horrible customer service period. The nerve of the individual trying to sell me on their service speaking everything from being a Christian to military, talking politics to me as if I cared about opinions. We had a treadmill we needed removed and a couple of heavy items moved from upstairs to downstairs. The guys showed up right on time and got right to work. They were professional and friendly. They were very careful to not damage anything. The total bill was very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company for either junk removal or moving services. Absolutely amazing service! I was in a bind and needed help moving 3 days out. I called and they gave me a very reasonable quote and were very helpful and understanding with my situation. On the day of the move they showed up exactly on-time, in uniform, greeted me by name and introduced their names. They were extremely fast and efficient while taking extreme care for my valuable furniture ensuring everything was wrapped and protected. Extremely unpleasant experience being a first time customer. Date 02/26/24 Job#8644087
1. The movers came late by 4 hrs. They were supposed to arrive at 8:30 AM but came at 12:30 PM.
2. While booking appt i confirmed the charges with customer rep. Also asked if there were any hidden charges. They confirmed that there were no other charges. I paid $99 upfront and $50 was to bepaid after completion. Their dashboard also showed balance of $50(I have the screenshot ).Upon completing work, they started pressurizing me to pay
additional $153. These charges were not mentioned anywhere.
3. While talking over phone,the franchise owner Dave was extremely rude and started threatning me to take me to court if I dont pay. He wasnt
ready to listen or converse.

I would have left a one star review but the two gentlemen who came out were superb and did a wonderful job. They were thorough and professional and kind. Can’t praise them enough.

My issue is with the office side.

My mom died last July and my sister and I are clearing out her house. She had books, patterns, various items of furniture, and a lot of other things collected in a long life. We didn’t want to throw it away, so when I called the McKinney office and they told me they donated everything they could, I was elated. Mom’s books would be read again.

When the movers arrived I was told that this is not the case, that it was all being taken to the dump.

My sister and I decided to have them take it all away anyway because it would have been physically overwhelming to transport that much stuff to Goodwill, but my sister was upset and... Read more >
