MARINA GRILL

I had the ‘Pick 3 Fisherman’s Seafood Platter’. All the staff were very friendly and I would rate their service high. I enjoyed the atmosphere as well. The food was ok, but I found the shrimp, oysters, fish and fries to be much too greasy to rate the meal high. Also, there was too much cornmeal on the meats. The cornmeal served to soak up the grease that it was cooked in. I did not care for the taste of the cole slaw, and it did seem too rich in sauce. I could not quite finish the meal due to the grease content. The meal would have been so much better if these two issues were addressed.

So I contacted Bryan (mentioned below), and he responded 'We do not cornmeal our seafood, only seasoned flour but it can become mushy while sitting in our savaday prior to being plated. I can see how that would be a turn off, and am very sorry you were not taken care of while...

The service and food was amazing. Our waitress was attentive and very genuine. We ordered the scallop and shrimp risotto and the crab stuffed salmon. Both were delicious as well as the deviled angel eggs. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Wilmington!

Nice place to eat with views of the river.

My waiter Allen was on point. He was very informative, and could answer any questions that came to mind. He was also polite and had humorous side. I would enjoy having him again for a waiter.
