MARINA GRILL

Just ok. Service was slow, despite there being only 3 groups seated in the entire place and multiple staff present. I understand there may be regulars who get more attention, but leaving a table sitting without menus or water for over 10-15 minutes is a bit absurd.

Waitress was also clearly eager to get us out of there, which I found very grating considering our initial wait (and that we had arrived more than an hour before closing). We had intended to order appetizers and drinks, but felt so rushed (and quite frankly, unwelcome), that we both just ordered something we'd had before and ate quickly before leaving.

Food was decent and came out quickly, but for those prices and sub-par service, I won't be back.

First time here and it was a great experience. Came to celebrate my uncle's birthday and we had a large group-about 15-20 guests for a early dinner. They were very accommodating and attentive to us. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were very creamy and the shrimp were a decent size. Good portion size. The drinks were good. The restaurant seemed to have lots of seating including a 2nd floor. Very nice view of the river. Great atmosphere. Would return when I'm back in the area. It would be nice to come back for a later dinner with a smaller group.

My mother took me to lunch at Marina Grill and I was blown away!!!!Devin, Tim (manager) and Christine,the awesome staff, had the smoothest teamwork ever, (other than myself) that I have ever had for an dining experience and I have traveled the world! ;) The cuisine matched the atmosphere and with the combination of the view of my hometown, I felt on top of the world. We left satisfied, with a 5 star dining experience. For those of you from NYC that choose your restaurants from the yearly Zaget's booklet that runs the NYC restaurant world, then you understand the magnitude of this compliment of the year for Marina Grill! It's not often that I encounter a competent server so i was very pleased when our server was awesome. The hostess was blah on Sunday afternoon but I'll go back for a $10 carafe of mimosas.
