We ordered a Chocolate Donut Cake with Orange flavored icing. I would have never ordered it if I had know they replaced their previous baker. The chocolate donut cake was too rich, hard as a rock and not very good. The icing looked disgraceful and didn't have any orange flavor, just orange color. Definitely disappointed and won't be ordering again. The previous cake was absolutely delicious with a delicate chocolate taste, like their chocolate glazed donuts, and a nice balanced orange flavor. Got my first ever Donut Palace with DoorDash. Can I say this place does not disappoint! The freshness of the donuts felt like they had been made within the hour. Jelly filled powdered had at least a quarter cup of jelly inside. While still holding up and not falling apart. Strawberry cake was super tender. Cake donuts seem to always be heavy and crumblely. Not these. The plain glazed ring I would put up against Krispy Kreme any day. Bigger, fluffier and the glaze is just as tasty. I cannot recommend Donut Palace enough. Read more >
