Long Island Maids

I had been using this service for two years. I booked a service and the people didn’t show up. I tried calling and kept getting an answering service. I tried emailing and some random person emailed me back saying they would send a crew the following day. They never showed up. I kept contacting the answering service that said they would speak to Shannon, the owner. They did nothing to set up a new booking and the worst part of it all was that Shannon never once tried to speak to me directly and left his shady answering service to do it for him.
I’m never using this service again.

The service is horrible. I was told one price and when I received my email confirmation, the price was higher than what I was told. I was given a credit for the error. I made an appointment for noon and in the e-mail confirmation, the appointment was made for 9:00am. They were able to adjust the time to the correct time. My appointment was made for a Friday when I called to fix the two errors that was made I was then notified that on Fridays there is an extra fee due to two maids are used on Thursdays and Fridays. After receiving a credit for that issue, my date and time arrived and the cleaning service never showed. I called to find out the status for their arrival and could not get an answer. I finally received a call back after waiting 3 hours past my schedules appointment which was noon. I was told they were behind schedule and could they change my appointment to Sunday. They...

The job that got done was just ok for a high price. I get that I'm paying for a large company with insurance, but I expected a little more.

The first time I called Long Island Maids they came when I expected them and they did a thorough job. The second time I called, I called for either the following day or two days after. I was promised that they would come. This was important because we had relatives staying over.

They didn’t come. And it became increasingly clear that the excuse that the owner of the company was the only one who could arrange and he was overseas and couldn’t be reached was bull story. I canceled and called another service. They had two young women in my house with 2-1/2 hours who did great job.

Long Island Maids was as reliable as a 16 year old pothead.

I had a terrible experience with Long Island maids. I scheduled a cleaning the day before I was hosting a huge event and they never showed up. No call, no email, no form of communication was taken to explain to me what happened. Very upsetting

Booked a cleaning for the day before thanksgiving. Nobody showed up and the owner was unreachable. A woman who worked from home for the company answering calls was super helpful and kind but all her efforts to get the cleaners to my home went ignored by the cleaners themselves and the owner. The cleaners even refused to come to my home because it was the day before thanksgiving and hung up on the receptionist. I wasn’t charged but wasn’t offered anything to make up for this issue except $10 off my next cleaning not worth it to me never booking them again!
