BEST HAIRCUT! It’s not often that I leave reviews, but Kensington Barbers did me right. I called in to see if they would take a last second walk-in and they did. Walid, the founder, did exactly what I asked for and was quick, though it never felt rushed (and definitely does not look rushed). Great, clean environment that feels upscale. The student discount is a STEAL! My haircut here looks 10x better than any haircut I’ve paid +$100 for back in America, and at a fraction of the price. Also, if you often avoid barbershops because you don’t like the look of tapers, fades, and other clipper cuts, don’t worry. Kensington Barbers does it all as long as you communicate what you want. My recent visit to the barber salon was the most expensive haircut I've ever had, costing £30 for a simple machine haircut. However, the service fell short in several aspects. Firstly, there was no hair wash or disinfection of the skin after the haircut, despite requesting a skin fade. Additionally, the tools were not cleaned before my haircut, raising hygiene concerns.

Moreover, the haircut itself was unsatisfactory. The same day, I noticed uneven layers and improper hair length transitions, requiring me to seek corrections elsewhere. Specifically, the hair around the ears was not trimmed to the skin as requested.

Overall, this was my first and last visit to this salon. The high price did not reflect the quality of service, and the lack of attention to detail was disappointing. Read more >
