Jack's Brake & Alignment

Everyone I worked with at Jack's was friendly & helpful. My car needed to be towed to their shop when my wheel ball joint/axel broke and the tow truck arrived very soon after my car broke down. My repair estimate was ready the following morning & after it was explained, I was advised as to what my options were. My car was back on the road within 48 hours & the costs were reasonable. I was concerned about towing my car to a shop I'd never dealt with and they exceeded my expectations. Great experience, I would definitely recommend them!!

Brought my truck in for an alignment and was immediately notified of steering system damage. They were upfront about the damage, cost to repair, consequences of not repairing. The next day when I picked up my truck Joe took time to show me the damaged parts, what to look for next time. I would highly recommend Jack’s as an honest service center.

Went in, paid the tow fee, and was on my way in less than 5 minutes.

This place is a scam. They gave me a quote for brakes and rotors and an oil change totaling $1950! This is highway robbery and they are preying on people who need loans to repair their vehicle. I did not need a loan but I’m from out of town anf I knew it would be outrageous but I didn’t expect it to be THAT bad. Beyond that, they also quoted me for a whole list of things they claimed was wrong with the truck totaling $8000. After taking it to another mechanic they repaired the original brakes and rotors and oil change for half the price AND confirmed that 90% of the list didn’t need repair.

If that’s not bad enough, after I heard the quote I said no and picked it up they charged me a $35 FEE to pick it up. Never have I ever had to pay a fee in 15 years of running many trucks across the country for my business have I ever had to pay a fee.

Fortunately for me...

Had this shop change out an alternator for me, since I was stranded in Iowa. I'm happy with their work, however the mark up on the part was ridiculous. I understand shops need to mark up prices to survive but 700 for a duralast alternator is nuts. but they got me out that day. The lady in the office was sweetheart.

I was stranded in Davenport on I80. I called 3 places and Jack's was the only place I could get a tow immediately. The others quoted me 3 hours. They were kind and fixed my problem. Peace of mind when you are 3.5 hours from home. Thank you so much!
