Incompetent. Idahome Solar sent me a rookie salesman without a clue. His obvious mission was to get me to sign a contract based on projections of how much money could be saved with solar, but without a specific plan for actual installation of a solar panel system on my home. He had no idea how such systems are actually installed, nor could he answer my questions about how the power generated by the solar panels would be connected to our electrical panels in the home. When I asked him if they use microinverters and run AC power through Romex from the solar array to the electrical panels, instead of running solar-generated DC power to a central inverter, he asked: "What's Romex?" Are you kidding me? A man sent to answer questions about an electrical installation that doesn't know what Romex is? Then, when I spoke by phone with Idahome's manager, Tyler, I was advised...

I spoke with Josh Hodges at Idahome Solar about a switch to solar on our home. He seemed to know his stuff well and answered every question I had without hesitation or uncertainty. He was also very sociable and easy to connect with. I felt no pressure, which can be an instant deal breaker for me. It was a great experience and I look forward to working more with Josh and his team.
