I purchased the home February 10th 2022 from Jason Lavender, as a flip. During the negotiations/purchase phase I was told there was NO water coming into the basement. There was a jutted-out part of the basement that had old drywall up from a prior owner, as you could tell from the age. I had asked if there was any way to look behind the drywall and was told it was not a possibility.
The seller did replace a totally separate part of foundation wall on the other side of the basement.
When I closed on the home and moved in, I decided to have a look behind the drywall. Behind the jut out was crumbled foundation all over the floor. Whole cinder blocks for about a 12x12 space of foundation is bowed, crumbled, and fallen on the ground. When looking at the drywall again I did notice there was a hole in it at the ceiling height which I did not make. I believe the seller knew about...
