My previous tax preparer forgot to press "submit" on my e-filed 2016 taxes, which led to hefty fines at the federal and state level. That preparer was frequently unresponsive, but in the interest of making things right, he had Ben take care of my issues with the State of California. It was a long process, but Ben eventually got the State to send me a refund for the money they'd taken from my bank account. Unlike my previous tax preparer, Ben was very responsive and guided me through the process over the course of several months, even though I was thousands of miles away.
