Geotech Engineering and Testing

I started here about seven months ago aspiring to become a mud man on a drilling rig in West Texas someday, but the potential for growth from within here is so great that I never want to leave. I'm a driller's helper in the soils department, and if you want to work, the money is there. Never in my life have I recieved vacation pay along with the opportunity to work that day if I wanted (doubling your money or more), and that's pretty amazing. Also plenty of hands on training by crew chiefs that want you to learn, not holding your future or any information back.

I am the Engineering Assistant at Geotech Engineering and Testing. Almost 13 years ago, in May of 2006 to be exact, I started working at this company (GET). I never knew there was soil testing companies and/or what they did. I came to an interview, then a second one and was then hired on to Geotech Engineering and Testing. Everyone always wants to put negative reviews when it doesn’t go right for them (old employees mostly). I have learned so much working here and I love my job. I thank Mr. David A. Eastwood, P.E., D.GE., DFE, C.A.P.M., F.ASCE for this job opportunity he has gave me for many many years and still standing. Yes, DAE may be strong of character at times (when needed), but once you learn him, he is an amazing human being. I am pretty sure that Iranian trying to be American boss forced his employees to put 5star. This guy will put you in slavery because you are in OPT or H1B. He will put you for 55hrs/week and free rudeness. Don't go there !

President is one in a Million. He is the best you got in Texas. If you practice his methodology, you will be one of the most hired geotechnical Engineers in Texas. I worked with him for 4.5 years and I so fortunate. I learnt a lot from this gentlemen. I miss this place like my house.

People complaint that he is harsh at employees but he is like a military trainer. I am confident in this field of geotech, CMT, Environmental, and Forensic only because of Mr. David. I dedicate all my professional achievements to him. Without his guidance i am no one.

It’s been over 10 years since I started at Geotech however this was by far the most organized company. I’ve taken my organizational skills that I’ve learned by working for DAE and have implemented them where needed and allowed. GET gave me an opportunity to learn and I’m forever grateful for that. DAE is a hard person but he’s also a kind heart. It’s business and it’s hard to work for someone that is so organized however if you’d listen and observe there is so much to learn from this place. I’m working in GET from almost a year now and I should say if you want to start your career as a Project Manager in Geotech field this is the best place to do it. Mr. David A.
