I bought an 1800 house which had been added on to without advice from professional builders. It has a great enclosed front porch with big windows but this porch is a cold space that butts up against a warm space (an upstairs bedroom). There were colossal ice damming issues which various contractors offered expensive solutions for. Garvin came and looked at my porch and agreed to add a metal roof over the porch and the overhang above the front steps. It was a straightforward business transaction which I appreciated. Now I still have some ice damming but it happens only at the very edge of the roof and the damage to the porch ceiling and the wall adjacent to the porch has ceased. I am very happy with the way this is working for me and my old house.
