Free Body Physical Therapy

I've seen a lot of physical therapists in the past and never felt like a) I was being paid attention to (due to more than one patient at a time) and b) the work they were doing and the exercises they had me do never actually helped.

When I injured my shoulder (combination of too much volume lifting and overuse) I knew I had to try someone else. I could barely reach over my head and let alone attempt to put my hand behind my back. I read these reviews and booked an appointment with Marc. He is the real deal.

Every session helped significantly, he was very personable, you get his attention for the duration of the appointment, and at the end of the day after a few sessions I was making progress by leaps and bounds.

Marc is incredibly professional and down to Earth! I came to Free Body on the recommendation of an orthopedist after a 16 year old knee injury (that I never did anything about) started to act out. I'm a relatively active person and had never been to a physical therapist before.

Right away, he narrowed down some target areas to strengthen/stretch and showed me the differences in terms of strength and flexibility between my "bad" and "good" legs. I came away from several sessions with manageable exercises, a plan to build on those exercises, and a mindset to keep things simple and easy. By the time the weather breaks into Spring, no doubt I'll be back running on my knee!

Visited Marc to consult for a pre-screening of any potential injuries or imbalances. I don’t currently have any injuries but since I’m quite active and have a family history of bad joints, it was worth seeing him. He had an extremely knowledgeable approach to how the body works and taught me how certain parts are connected through things that I wasn’t aware of. After an analysis we learned that my neck is weak and the mobility of my shoulders is extremely lacking. While I’m a strong and fit person, it doesn’t matter when it comes to internal shoulder strength and neck fatigue. He then took 15 minutes to explain a few VERY simple movements to do daily, while also videoing me doing them and explaining/narrating so I could go home and have the instruction to refer to. After two weeks my neck feels MUCH stronger (something I didn’t even know I needed) and my shoulder degree of rotation...

I came to Free Body because I threw my back out and was have sciatic pain into my left foot from my lower back. The pain was so bad I could not even sit, drive to work, or even do daily house chores. At first I went to a chiropractor and quickly realized that was not helping any of my pain if anything it was making it worse. Then I decided to come see Marc at Free Body. He is great to work with and actually cares about helping you. Marc can perform adjustments, gives you specific exercises to do and helps set goals for each exercise. He spends time with you and makes sure you understand what's going with you body so you don't hurt yourself again. Marc is very easy to work with, I run my own business so I understand customer service which is very important to me. I should have seen Marc before my injury which could have possibly helped prevent it. Highly recommend this place.

finally found my needle in the haystack. I had several imbalances and issues with my body and I needed somebody very knowledgable to diagnose the source and treat ALL OF THEM. I have tried several PT clinics in the past and I didn't trust them the second they had to refer to their computer with what to do. Marc has the bonus Fellowship designation and knows his shit. Trust him.

Marc is hands-down the BEST physical therapist I've ever been to! To paint a picture, I fractured my humerus about 4 years ago and required a plate/many screws. I went to physical therapy elsewhere right away to regain mobility, but for years after, I suffered from a painfully stiff neck, decreased muscle mass, and an inwardly rotated shoulder. I felt muscle pain that a normal 23 year old should not be feeling on a daily basis, to the point where that became my new normal.

A friend at work eventually recommended Marc's services, and I thought why not give it a shot. I'd tried yoga, massages, etc and figured it would end the same - I'd feel relief for a day or two, then the stiffness and discomfort would return in a few days. Marc instantly proved me wrong.

Marc is the absolute best. He made time to see me very quickly after I experienced a debilitating lower back/hip shift early in my pregnancy.

Marc’s knowledge and caring professionalism are so appreciated, as is his emphasis on the physical therapy work being a partnership and two-way street. It might ultimately feel like magic, but I appreciate the emphasis and credit Marc gives to the client’s role within that spell work!

After a couple of visits, I was well enough to return to my regular barre workouts, armed with appropriate strengthening exercises for off-days – I’m even using some of them as modifications to class exercises I can’t do while pregnant.
