Flippin Cow

1 Star — and I'll be honest.

If we ever drive from southeastern Cincinnati, about a four-and-a-half-hour trip, to meet up with an old friend, and we're relaxing, we expect to enjoy my time. However, I noticed the waitresses inside were glancing at us repeatedly. Then, suddenly, they turned up the music extremely loud and switched on all the lights directly on us. They clearly was focusing on us and talked among themselves.

That was a pretty unprofessional way to communicate that it was 8:58 p.m. and time for us to leave. Instead of a simple heads-up or informing us kindly that they were closing soon. As I only know the time it happened and we didnt even know it was closing time anyway since we are from out of town.

The food was great, and we enjoyed the view of the lake, but if we ever visit town and our friend again, I’m recommending going...

Taiylor was our server! Wonderful service. She came back often to make sure whether or not we needed anything and our food was made to perfection! I had the Flippin’ Melt and added pickles; soooo good!! Also would recommend the Hangover Burger 🍔

Always have a great experience here but tonight Maygon was SO sweet. My brother has special needs/food allergies and they were so! accommodating! We just ordered two patties with cheese and she personally made sure that everything was correct and without us even asking put it on a plate so it would be easier to cut. Burgers are so great, vibe of the place is great, 10/10 recommend.

Also we’ve had Tiffany Beer!! It won’t let me leave a separate review for both but she is INCREDIBLE and we love her.

Update 7/29/25: We had Taiylor and she was AMAZING AND SO SWEET. Absolutely incredible service- she was SO attentive and kind. Food amazing as always - 10/10

Wonderful service from Suzanne our waitress and awesome food from the appetizer to the burger and fries.

Put up your hands for Suzanne. Such an awesome staff with smiles for miles! Very accommodating and welcoming.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this time I really have to. We walked in and found there was no air conditioning — it was hot and sticky, but we didn’t complain. We sat there for an hour, and not a single dish was brought out. No apologies, nothing. We were completely ignored by the staff, while people who came in after us were served — likely because we ‘looked’ different and weren’t from that town. We eventually had to leave with our crying, hungry toddler.

Do NOT waste your money at this uncomfortable, miserable restaurant. To the owners: if outsiders aren’t welcome, just put up a sign and don’t waste our time. Also, an air conditioner costs only a couple of hundred dollars — maybe consider installing one so your guests aren’t miserable when it’s 95 degrees outside.

Place had no AC, Beef patties were fresh and service from Ana was great.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — If You’re Not Local, Don’t Bother

Yesterday, while driving back to Chicago from Cleveland, we decided to grab lunch somewhere local without making a big detour. We found a spot called Flippin’ Cow, which had nearly 5,000 reviews averaging 4.8 stars — so we figured it had to be good.

When we arrived, it was immediately clear this was a place for locals. As soon as we walked in, we could feel the stares — like people were wondering, "What are they doing here?" It was uncomfortable, but we brushed it off and just wanted to eat.

There were two seating areas — one with A/C and another with just two fans. It was an extremely hot and humid day, and unfortunately we were seated in the hot section. We placed a simple order: two burgers and a half-size mac & cheese for our son. The large table next to us...
