This was a dream come true. It's one of my favorite movies of all time. My son plays ball, so it was great sharing this visit with him. Got their at opening, no wait. The property is free to enter, but they ask for donations. You get some swag for donation amount. They have used ball gear for you to play ball on the very field from the film. That was the best part for my family visit. The only downside was that the corn wasn't grown! Where's Shoeless Joe and Doc hiding out? 🤔
Sitting in the stands was fun, imagining the game play. There is a carving on the top row, which Kevin made between filming scenes. The original house is there to be toured, as well as a gift shop. Take a look at their "Master Plan" in the gift shop to see what they plan for the property in the coming years.
