My experience was okay. We had to move quickly to get in a best and final offer and my agent made that happen. There was an area that definitely should have been handled better and that was some advocating should have been done on our behalf regarding the condition of the duplex we were purchasing that we observed during the walk-through prior to closing. We had to come out of pocket a few thousand dollars to haul away furniture and a truck full of other junk left behind by the tenants. The previous owner let them use their security deposit to pay their last month's rent. They had nothing to lose by not cleaning their unit and it was left filthy. We had to pay to get it deep cleaned and for cigarette and weed smoke remediation which was also very costly. I felt our realtor should have spoken up for us at closing and insisted on the owner taking some responsibility or suggesting that...
