Destiny Starr Academy

Destiny Starr Academy is the only childcare facility we've used for our children.

The first week of school my kindergarten student knew 173 sight words! The goal for the entire year is 100. My 5th grader has a Lexile score over 1100!

They both had great 3K and PreK teachers. Thankful for dedicated teachers at Destiny Starr who strive to be the best and support the educational goals we set for our children.

I have been disappointed with this school from the beginning and now that school is almost over I had hoped I would have something good to say about Destiny Starr Academy. I have had several altercations with the rude women who work up in the front. If you are one of the few white parents who brings your child here, dont expect them to be friendly or nice to you. Any time I have had an issue or a question it has been met with attitude. My son (who is a picky eater) will not eat what they serve and they will not allow me to bring food for him so he goes all day eating only bread. They will not enforce any parking situation, so you can count on getting stuck behind someone who is inside chatting while you wait in your car for them to move. Finally, my son made it through the year at this horrendus school and time is coming for "pre-k graduation" and I am told that if I don't...

The staff genuinely care about the kids. My daughter loves it there. (Thanks Dr. Harrison, for creating such a special environment for kids to learn.) My kids have been at Destiny Starr for a combined total of 6 years
Added that my now two year old has been going there a little over a year and they continue to far exceed any standards I have! Thanks again for such a loving caring environment!!!!
