After many years of expertly ignoring my ears (apparently not a recommended health strategy), I finally went in for an ENT visit—and wow, what a wake-up call. Turns out hearing doesn’t just “stay the same forever” like I had convinced myself. Who knew?
The visit was smooth, informative, and oddly satisfying—especially the cleaning part (why is that so satisfying?). I learned that ear care should be treated like dental hygiene: routine, necessary, and not something to postpone for a decade.
The doctor was thorough, clear, and didn’t make me feel judged for my long hiatus from ear responsibility. I walked out hearing better and knowing better—which feels like a solid upgrade.
