I come to this restaurant twice a year ... EVERY YEAR ... on my annual road trip back and forth from DC to Seattle. It's walking distance from my motel. And I always look forward to it! Both ways! Food: delicious! Drinks! So restorative on my road trip! Service: Midwestern nice, yet with a touch of East Coast edge ha ha! (But I eat at bar. :-) Atmosphere: So fun after living in DC. It just has this Midwestern fun, charm, goodness. Such a buzz of everyone having a good time and enjoying themselves. Love Chubby Trout!
And on this trip I learned how they preserved an old Indiana barn for their building: three cheers for Chubby Trout!

Smoked prime rib was amazing both times I’ve had it. Service is stellar and Bailey and Ashley are awesome. This is my go to place wherever I’m in town.

This is a mainstay in Elkhart whether you were here for business or pleasure.

One of the few places with fresh sushi, and a large draft list of local and domestic beer.
Bailey and Hailey provided great service.
It can get busy, so either book ahead or plan to wait for a table. Or jump up to the bar and watch the game!
Both indoor and spring/summer/fall outdoor seating.

Thanks to Emma for the great service and attention - top notch as usual!
Had the Spicy Tuna and Dynamite roll this visit.
