Recently I had to attend a renewal unarmed class with CCSS. I've done my fair share of these classes both armed & unarmed & to be honest most were dry & boring, the instructor Garrett was not one of those. He made the class very educational & a great refresher on knowledge I might have forgotten about. The class was very interactive which made the time fly by, that's not east to do with PowerPoint & yet Garrett superseded in making this happen. The whole staff there are very warm & personable. I recently moved into the Phoenix vallu area and was recommended to try and apply for a position at Celtic and to do their training to advance my career in the Security World. The Unarmed Guard training was an amazing experience with a respectful and honest instructor who was unbiased and knowledgeable of the material and law that revolved around the DPS standards and Arizona Laws. Armed Guard training as well was inciteful and a breath of fresh air, making you realize how all the laws connect with one another and how your role as a security officer is also very intertwined with such things. I've learned how to conduct myself in a safe and professional manner whilst keeping in mind my prorities and duties and what could happen on shift. I had a stellar experience at celtic cross security solutions. I initially went to another buisness to get my guard cards and had to go through a mediocre class with a subpar instructor that taught me nothing about the state laws or how to operate in a guards capacity. When I went to DPS they had told me I couldn't get my guard cards done because the buisness I went to didn't have the proper certification and they were not answering phone calls or emails. I tried calling and got the same result, not even a call back. After losing 200 dollars down the drain I found Will (owner), Garrett (instructor) and they did an outstanding job. I thought I was going to have to wait another month to take the classes but Will made an exception for me after hearing my story and let me come to his private class that weekend. Celtic Cross Security were so great and really want to help their community. We are a non-profit pet shelter and needed security for a short time. They gave us a generous non-profit discount to help us out, and went so far above and beyond too. One night there was a cat in the parking lot following the security guard around. I was able to give directions on what to do and they sent a supervisor out to help. They were able to get the kitty into the safety of the shelter with food and water. Not only did they protect the pets in our shelter with their security services, they also helped us rescue one too. I also want to say that no matter who I talked to (and I called often) the person was very helpful, accommodating and nice. This is a first rate company all around that also helps the community.
