I had bilateral carpal tunnel release 4 days ago. I was a bit concerned about having both hands done simultaneously, but it has been quite manageable. My tingling of the index and middle fingers, and thumb, had been quite bad for the better part of 30 years. It had recently become most unbearable and my hand was getting unusable for typing and other things requiring dexterity and finer usage of the hand and forefingers. Dr. J explained the procedure and his method of visualizing what needed to be done, before the surgery. The fact that he came in wearing blue jeans and running shoes, gave me confidence that he knew who he was, without having to look all Dr. like and steril.
