A friend’s parents were moving from Long Island NY to North Carolina. They were quoted a very reasonable price by Call My Mover. On the day of the move, their furniture and possessions were loaded onto the truck without any apparent care.When they arrived at their new home, their furniture and belongings did not arrive as scheduled. After calling several times to follow up, they were advised that unless and until they paid a sum double the original price, their belongings would be held in transit. As “proof,” they were shown an electronic contract that they had allegedly signed agreeing to pay that amount. They did, as their worldly goods were being held hostage. When their life’s worth of belongings was finally delivered, most of them were damaged, some items arrived in pieces.
