Brain Balance in Columbia has been incredible for my son. He’s on the spectrum and previously struggled with social skills, communication, and comprehension. Since starting the program, he’s had no meltdowns and has become more attentive and talkative. Brain Balance in Columbia is by far one of the best programs that I could’ve done for my son. My 13-yo started in the summer of this year and by the time I had my first progress check-in with Sarah, I have noticed changes in my daughter already. We enrolled our son Maahir (11) at Brain Balance of Baltimore in April 2025 to address attention and emotional regulation challenges (unofficial ADD). The plan: 72 sessions, three 1-hour visits per week. We’re 43 sessions in, and the changes are both felt and measured.

Before: Starting and staying on task was hard. Emotional regulation could derail routines. Keeping track of assignments, instructions, and materials was a daily struggle.

Now: He’s organized, charging devices without reminders, checking what’s due, and coming to school ready. The phrase “I don’t know where my assignment is” has faded out of our vocabulary.
