The Learning Tree South

Upside: Mostly friendly staff. They work with your schedules. Pricing seems fair compared to other centers. My son really enjoyed coming here.
Downside: Teacher turnover is extremely high and there are too many children in the classrooms. It's difficult sometimes for my son to get the attention he deserves.

My son goes to the Learning Tree and we highly recommended it to anyone. He is learning so much. Each week there is a topic that the children are taught. The food served is all organic. The staff is very caring. My son never wants to leave each day!

I highly recommend this daycare center to anyone who's looking for quality care for thier little ones! What is so different about this facility based on my personal experience with my two year old is the actual "creative education" that they provide as they are not just taking care of the children but they are actually teaching them. I enjoy the additional little things they offer, and I especially enjoy my son's way of explaining what he did each day! I am a very happy mom with respect to this daycare;)

My daughter was enrolled at the Learning Tree for approximately 18 months. The facility is excellent, but the staff is a solid "meh". When we first enrolled our child, we found the preschool teacher to be excellent (Miss Carrie), but after a few months, Miss Carrie left and our child went through 2 or 3 more teachers before she finally transferred from preschool to pre-k. I concur with other reviews that state that the staff here is on a revolving door and most seem to be very young and inexperienced.

The front office staff was also rather so-so. One week I found an over-due statement taped to my child's "mailbox" for anyone to see - there was no confidentiality - and our account was absolutely NOT over due! There was an accounting error due to our scheduled vacation and as a result our business was flapping in the breeze for any parent or...

I have been taking my daughter to The Learning Tree since she was about 3 months old. Before I started taking her there, my daughter had tried out another daycare in the area for about 2 weeks, which was not terrible but was not meeting our expectations. We finally decided to check out other centers in Howell and found the Learning Tree. My husband and I felt so much better about this place (in comparison to the first one we had chosen). The rooms were decorated nicely, there is a keypad with a fingerprint scanner to get in the center, there were quality toys to play with, and yummy organic meals were being served. We decided to take our daughter out of the first center and enroll her in this daycare.

My review is mostly about the infant room, as I have only had experience with this room. The lead teacher, Brittany, is fantastic and I feel really comfortable about her...

Miss Myra is always so caring towards our son Jak and it is obvious that he loves her too!!!! Again, we are so pleased with Miss Myra and her genuine, caring and patient attitude that she has with our son. Thank you for all that you do Myra!

My husband and I chose The Learning Tree for various reasons for our son. Our primary reason for enrolling our son at The Learning Tree was for the immediate learning experience he would experience day 1. My son has been in Miss Alex's Infant Class since the end of April 2013. She made a point to let me know how his transition period was going when he first started in her class, good and bad. She is always willing to talk about his day and development when I or my husband pick him up. My husband and I love reading the daily emails of what our son has been doing throughout the day from books read to the activity for the day. Miss Alex is very easy to talk to and our son seems to enjoy being in her class. He has even met some of his first friends in Miss Alex's class. Our son enjoys all of the Infant Teachers and always gives them a huge smile when they greet him in the morning....

This place is POOR! My daughter went for 3 days in the preschool program and it was the worst experience I have ever had with daycare. the 1st day she was excited to go and seemed to have fun. 2nd day was ok and the 3rd day she did not want to go. To start I brought in the requested items like a water bottle...in the 3 days she NEVER used it. the 1st day it was new and the teacher said she would wash it well when it went home with us that day it still had the paper inside from being new. Than the 2nd and 3rd day it was NEVER taken out from her bag. I wonder if my daughter ever had anything to drink while being there. She came home extremely hungry! While trying to get my daughter comfortable on her 3rd day I witnessed the teacher raising her voice at children and getting frustrated. No offer from the teacher to help my daughter feel more comfortable. She just continued to go about her...

I would like to sincerely thank the Infant Room staff, Miss Emily, Miss Brittany, and Miss Taylor, for helping to make my son's transition into daycare a positive one. He started just in late May 2012 but has really expanded his abilities since attending. He now loves going, loves the teachers, and I feel good about the fact that they have an organic menu and are a green facility. While the annual fees do seem high, their weekly rates are lower than a lot in the area, so people should consider that before nagging about it. Also what is included in the weekly rate is a lot more than most other comparable centers. What you save weekly far outweighs the annual fee cost differences across centers. The facility is really top notch - I find myself bragging to other moms that my son goes somewhere that has a splash pad. Also it is very conveniently located and the hours of operation are...

Taylor L, Brittany E. and Emily are so wonderful with the children. We couldn't have asked for a better group for our child. It is so hard to find great teachers like them.
