Arrowmont Stables & Cabins

We stayed at the cabins and we rode the horses. Was greeted when we arrived late Friday evening from the manager. He was so nice. Rode the horses on Saturday and it was amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and very nice. We will definitely be back.

Rating on trail ride. Lovely area. Wooded mountainous trail with some pretty views. Safe. Good instruction before ride so you know what to do and expect. Nice well cared for and maintained horses. Would recommend.

Absolutely stunning ride on the Flame Azalea/Fern Forest trails. Scout and Whiskey were champs and took us out safely and with little fuss. My husband started on a different horse that seemed to want the morning off. The staff noticed quickly and got him on Whiskey. It was smooth sailing from there.

This was our first time riding horses and I have a feeling it won't be our last! The safety video may have been a little overwhelming but our guide ensured we knew what to do and got us walking quickly. The staff were great and the horses beautiful. Highly recommend this excursion.

We were staying in Highlands and decided we would like to book a horseback ride in the mountains. Arrowmont was available and we chose them based on good reviews, location and prices. We couldn't have been happier. The trail ride was beautiful. Longer than expected. Our guides continuously checked to make sure everyone was comfortable on their horses. It was a really good experience all around and we would definitely do it again.

We had no experience with horses and we were scared but our guides and our horses were amazing. It was so much fun!

My wife and I went on the 2 hour ride as a birthday surprise to her. We were the only ones on the ride. It was a beautiful ride through the mountains. Our guide, Josh, was friendly and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend this for couples.

I was there for the trail ride/ horseback riding.
They are very thorough with their instructions. And Wyatt, my trail guide was wonderful. I am a novice rider and I felt very safe. The mountain trail was fun to ride and the scenery was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour.

My husband and I went here on our honeymoon. He grew up with horses and I’d never ridden one so I was very nervous. The folks that work there were so kind and the horse I had (Whiskey) was so gentle! I would definitely return to see Whiskey again the next time we come back to NC!
