Myself as well as the person I decided to attend therapy here with each are going to individual counselors outside of this office and have an idea what works best with us. After experiencing some bias form our first counselor, we moved on to another only to experience the exact same bias (as if they shared personal opinions about us in between sessions). The second one, Renae, she demanded that we trust her immediately after knowing her for only 45 minutes and already having some tension, I was told that either I give her permission to be in contact with my personal therapist or she can no longer be our family counselor. The most unprofessional part of the whole ordeal is that she only asked me, knowing that the other person also had a personal counselor that she could’ve gotten into touch with as it was ”A very common practice“ for them to do as she explained it to me.
