Our family has moved many times in the past and this move was by far hands down the WORST I've ever experienced!!
Came in to the kitchen to find a snack bag of chips from my pantry had been opened and eaten. I decided to let it go as it was just one bag, then the next day came in to find that they had helped themselves to some canned Perrier in the backyard fridge. Also found that they had eaten some of the Pop tarts that were left out on the counter to be packed.
Upon arriving at our destination in Florida we found that over half of our boxes hadn't even been labeled so we had no idea where to put them. I had to open and sift through almost every box to take it to the right room.
It only gets worse from here, unpacking a kitchen box I unwrapped paper to find an empty Perrier can. Several other boxes had Pop tart wrappers, walnut shells, a half eaten Pop tart! and...

Beware of predatorial contracting. A surveyor will come in stating he’s been doing this for 30 years and state you can save money by packing yourself. The fine print is that you only get a price break IF the weight comes in under the surveyed amount. Our professional surveyor, sandbagged/underestimated, by about 1,300 lbs on a 13K lbs load. Having moved 3 times before with Atlas, decent surveyors are within 600 lbs. We also got rid of a lot of stuff after the survey suggesting he was off even more. Called Ace and talked to management to confront what was either negligent or predatorial estimating. He stuck by the contract and offered no concession for the work we did that saved them time and money. Effectively we paid Ace to do the job for them. Called Atlas who washed there hands of it. Crummy service! On a personal level the packers they sent were very kind, friendly and professional. However, the story ends there. The driver who picked up our stuff was quite a jerk to us and the packers who had already been there a whole day. Everything was rush rush rush because of him and upon unpacking we found out that it definitely was with stuff literally just thrown in a box with some paper tossed on top! We can certainly tell what boxes and furniture were finalized and packed when he was there, the ones with all the broken stuff. Then there is some stupid supervisor who drives by occasionally who called to bark at the workers that our kids were in front and that you kids couldn't be there. First off my kids are not your problem, second you should not be talking to your workers like that, third this is my house, my stuff and my children and if I say it's ok for them...
